This year has been dreadful for me – I’ve not exactly kept that a secret. That being said, there have been some positives, and I’d like to take a moment to share them with you:
♥ I’ve learned that real friends won’t tell you what to do with your life/time/money – they will support you endlessly, and when you screw up, they will pick you up and dust you off. If you accidentally hurt them, even if it takes a little while, they will forgive you.
♥ I’ve learned that if I’m hanging out with real friends, I’m also capable of supporting them, dusting them off, and forgiving them.
♥ It doesn’t matter how angry they make you, and how much they at times can really drag you down: your family will always love you and be there for you. Always.
♥ People won’t believe in you, if you don’t believe in yourself.
♥ Even on the cloudiest of days – there is always a little ray of sunshine that doesn’t want to be squashed. It’s name is hope.
♥ Everything that I have ever wanted in life, everything that matters to me – it’s been in front of me all these years. Due to the power of it though, I was afraid, so I’ve been pushing it away. I won’t anymore.
♥ When I genuinely love something or someone – I love it/them wholly. I’m blind to the cracks on the surface – they’re just part of the quirks that make that which I love, even more wonderful.
♥ I love my friends.
♥ I’m not stupid, like I always thought I was, and like I’ve allowed others to tell me I am – I’m just like anyone else on this planet – I have strengths. They’ve weakened over time with my lack of belief in myself, but I want to make my strengths strong again.
When I’m making money again (finally), I fully intend on buying myself flowers sometimes. Somebody has to treat me like a Princess occasionally, why shouldn’t it be me?
