Weekday Inspiration
Tuesday, February 16th, 2010Let the wind sweep my fears away
Monday, February 15th, 2010I’m so tired – I really don’t have a lot to share with you at the moment. I feel like all my good thoughts are leaking out my ears, which is really upsetting. Hope you all had a lovely weekend! xx
It’s always the same story

I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine’s Day, even if they are spending it alone!
Also, I’d really appreciate it if you checked out some of the new work I have up at DeviantArt. This one I scanned in the drawing last night, and spent about an hour painting it this morning!
Also, my newest 365 has fallen through because my parents had my camera yesterday – and I missed an awesome shot of a beautiful sunset! T-T I will continue with my “Special Things Seen” project, but in a different capacity ^-^ So, watch this space!
Have a great day, and remember to let those you love, know that you love and appreciate them ♥

This is my dream
Saturday, February 13th, 2010I wish I could draw this well – it is now a goal of mine to improve drastically in the next year. Which means I will probably be updating my DeviantArt account (which today I purchased a 12 month subscription) considerably more often. Please check it out, and leave comments – I like hearing from you all ♥
Reflections
Saturday, February 13th, 2010
So, I know I frequently show posts with photos I have found that inspire me, but today I thought I should probably introduce you to one of my favourite bands. Aren’t they pretty? Okay, so perhaps they aren’t the prettiest of things I’ve ever posted to my blog *hides* (they aren’t that bad, are they?), but I do love their music and I feel just so inspired when I’m listening to them while drawing, writing or taking photographs. These guys are called Apocalyptica, and if you’ve never listened to any of their music, I suggest you do. My favourite songs of theirs are Faraway (the instrumental version on their album Reflections), and their cover of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters (album Inquisition Symphony). Honestly though, check them out – most of their music is instrumental music, although they do from time-to-time enlist a vocalist to sing to some of their songs. I would have to say that so far, my favourite album of theirs is Reflections.
Cello is one of my favourite instruments! ♡

I need to clean up my act
Friday, February 12th, 2010I tore my bedroom apart last night in a fit of frustration and rage. It wasn’t a violent tearing apart, but it looks like a bomb has gone off none-the-less. I can’t find the motivation to clean it though, so I thought that perhaps looking at and sharing pretty photos of other peoples rooms might help! Time will tell ♥ I hope you enjoy the photos I selected!

Special things that I have seen
Monday, February 8th, 2010As I neglected to take a single photo yesterday, I once again failed at a 365 project, but I’m not giving up! This is “Special Things Seen” take two! I took this photo this morning on the train in to work, while listening to Pale by Within Temptation and dreaming of better days.

The music moves me
Sunday, February 7th, 2010I know I simply cannot be the only one in this world who finds that music is something that is just so powerful. There is a song out there for every mood these days – something that some wonderful and talented person has written and/or composed when they themselves experienced that emotion, whichever it was.
I know this seems like perhaps a little bit of a pointless ramble, but I am a hopeless playlist addict. As I type this, I’m sitting contemplating my next seasonal playlist: Autumn (or Fall, depending on where you are, but here in Australia it is Autumn) of course. I’ve mostly been creating my playlists based on songs that remind me of that time of year, both the weather and my memories that I most associate the season with. I was wondering, if there is anyone else who creates seasonal playlists? I just find they get me into the right mood for my environment, which I love very much.
Once I have finalised my playlist over the next few days, I may type it up and post it for you. I know it probably won’t interest everyone, but I still might do it anyway (I hope you don’t mind!)
I’ve also created a playlist of music I have, that I really feel I should listen to. There are over 1,000 songs in it, and it seems a little ridiculous! I’m looking forward to just chilling one day though, and just listening to it (or as much as I can fit into the day!).

Have to stand up to be stronger

Day 2 – 6
Thursday, February 4th, 2010I’m sorry I haven’t been all too good at this keeping my 365 Project Special Things Seen updated, but this working full time thing is taking the mickey out of me! It’s okay, I know I’ll become accustomed to it, I’m just not yet. So this post is bringing you all up to date on my project – I hope you enjoy these photos! ♥
