FEATURED ARTIST: JANUARY 2010
Kylie Hajdu is an artist whom I think is someone very talented and definitely worthy of a mention! Kylie and I actually went to high school together, although she was a year above me. It was her that initially inspired me to at least give art a go. I didn’t believe that I was ever any good, but she took me under her wing and gave me a few tips and words of encouragement – she told me that if I kept practicing I would improve. Through that encouragement, I discovered that I really do enjoy art, and this is where I am now.
I should warn you, that some of her art is perhaps not safe for work, or some people may find some of it offensive – but I really enjoy looking through her Deviant Art Gallery, and she recently pointed out to me that she has a Web Comic. She also takes commissions, so you should check out her art work!

Thursday, October 1st, 2009I was hit with random inspiration yesterday, and I thought, why don’t I make a post at the beginning of each month recommending an artist who has work I adore? Then I could list them in my sidebar as a featured artist until the next month! So from now on that is exactly what I will be doing 
To get things rolling, I would like to announce that it is young French artist, Annabelle, also known on deviant art as 4th-of-May, who is my first featured artist!
I simply adore her illustrations, and use of colour and texture, it’s truly wonderful! I hope we continue to see more wonderful work from her ♥
Also, on a slightly different note, Amanda from Here Comes The Sun tweeted something the other night that some of you may or may not be interested in. It’s a list of 101 blogs you should check out. I’m going to take a closer peek at it later, but I thought it looked interesting
