Rayne Couture

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

My friend Isabella Rayne, a young Aussie girl, has started up her own shop on Etsy selling the gorgeous fashions she makes. Aprons and corsets, and of course the list will grow. She’s a young talent worth checking out.

I received some mail from her the other night: she had sent me a little apron as an early birthday present – it has little cupcakes and tea cups on it!!! So appropriate for me ^-^ I am really looking forward to wearing it ♥

You should all check out her shop on Etsy, and keep an eye out for her!

Here is to today

It’s steadily approaching that time of day where I need to start considering what I want to wear to church today: I want it to be pretty – whatever I choose – it’s difficult though as it’s going to be a warm Australian summer day, and I simply still haven’t managed to pull off enough weightloss to be truly comfortable wearing any summer attire. It’s superficial, yes, but truly – what is a girl to do?

Lookbook

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Why, oh why, did I allow myself to be introduced to lookbook? Goodness it is addictive. Probably good for me to browse it though for inspiration as I start moving towards making all my own clothes, and possibly making some items to sell and/or giveaway.

I already have a few sketches of items I’d like to attempt to make, and when I’m back working again, it is my hope and intention to have a look through ebay in search of some vintage patterns. Should be good!

Today will be a day of cleaning as I keep putting it off, and putting it off. Today: it gets done. Or started at the very least. The place looks like a bomb has gone off, so it may take more than one day to get back on top of it all.

I wish I were capable of staying tidy and organised – but apparently I’m not. I’ll keep trying though! I won’t give up! :)
